In this lecture, Dr. William Portier will speak on the life of Father Thomas A. Judge, CM (1868-1933). While Philadelphians know of him from the high school that bears his name, many are unaware of his pioneering work developing the lay apostolate. Come hear more about his fascinating story!
Dr. William Portier is the Mary Ann Spearin Chair of Catholic Theology at the University of Dayton. The author of several books and more than one hundred articles and reviews, and recipient of numerous awards, his work in historical theology has focused particularly on the relationship between faith and culture in the U.S. context.
