In this talk, Mr. John Kelly of the National Park Service will explore the life and legacy of the Commodore John Barry, the most celebrated Irish American in Philadelphia from 1775 until his death in 1803. He will discuss Barry’s contributions to the cause of American freedom and the Irish American community that he inhabited and helped shape.
