Lou Baldwin passes

Earlier this week, we learned of the passing of longtime Board of Managers member, Lou Baldwin. The American Catholic Historical Society offers its sympathies and prayers to the Baldwin family. The Society, too, shares in the mourning with family and friends.

Mr. Baldwin has touched so many lives with his smile, kind words, and through his robust work with The Catholic Standard and Times, later Catholic Philly.

He will be greatly missed, but his piety, prayerful life, and collection of authored works will live on in the stories that we recall and the recounting of the history of Catholic Philadelphia.

The American Catholic Historical Society is very grateful for his years of service to the Society and for his commitment to preserving Catholic life and history in Philadelphia.
