In this talk, Dr. Daniel Cosacchi (University of Scranton) will discuss the background of how his book (and Pope Francis’s historic address to Congress) came about. In doing so, he will also touch briefly on some of the figures in the book, with an eye towards how we might all become “great American prophets” in our own time.

About the Speaker

Dr. Daniel Cosacchi serves as the Vice President for Mission and Ministry at the University of Scranton. He holds a PhD in Christian Ethics from Loyola University Chicago. He previously held positions at Marywood University and Fairfield University. In addition to Great American Prophets, he is co-editor of The Berrigan Letters: Personal Correspondence Between Daniel and Philip Berrigan (Orbis Books, 2016).
