Join us as the American Catholic Historical Society (ACHS) recalls the life and legacy of one of its founders, Dr. Lawrence Flick (1856-1938), on the 101st anniversary of his being awarded the University of Notre Dame’s Laetare Medal, one of the highest honors given to an American Catholic layperson. This event is offered in recognition of the donation of Dr. Flick’s medal to the ACHS by members of his family.
Dr. Rodger Van Allen and Dr. Thomas Rzeznik
Remarks will be offered by Dr. Rodger Van Allen (Villanova University, emeritus), past president of the ACHS and editor emeritus of its journal, American Catholic Studies, and Dr. Thomas Rzeznik (Seton Hall University), a member of the ACHS board of managers and current co-editor of American Catholic Studies.
